Billy Bai Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the William F. Harrah College of
Hotel Administration at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV). He holds
two masters' degrees from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (1997) and Purdue
University (1998) in hospitality and tourism management. He has also earned a
doctoral degree at Purdue University (2001). He is currently teaching both
undergraduate and graduate marketing courses at the UNLV's Harrah Hotel College.
His current research interest includes customer relationship marketing, branding,
destination management, and Internet marketing. He has published many refereed
journal articles in a number of national and international hospitality and tourism
reputable journals. By 2005, Billy has 16 journal articles and 6 book chapters
either published or in press.
As an active member in many professional organizations, Billy regularly attends
international conferences in the hospitality and tourism field to present research
findings and has published 31 conference proceedings. Billy has won two best paper
awards at the annual international CHRIE (Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and
Institutional Education) conference in 2000 and 2002. He has conducted various
consultancies and seminars for tourism organizations and industry practitioners.
