Mark S. Rosenbaum, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of Hawaii at Manoa
and the Research Director of the Center for Retail Exchange at UH. He completed his Ph.D. in
marketing from Arizona State University. In addition, Rosenbaum holds degrees from Indiana
University, University of Illinois, New York University, and San Diego State University.
He currently teaches Services Marketing, Retail Management, Marketing Research, Strategic
Marketing and Marketing Theory to undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students at UH. His
research has been published in leading academic journals such as Journal of Travel Research,
Journal of Vacation Marketing, Psychology & Marketing, Journal of Services Marketing, Journal
of Retailing and Consumer Services, Journal of Consumer Behavior, Marketing Intelligence &
Planning, and Business Horizons. Additionally, Rosenbaum has presented his research at
many national and international conferences.
Rosenbaum is active in many organizations including
the American Marketing Association, Retail Merchants of Hawaii, and is a founding member of the
Society of Lifestyle, Leisure, and Tourism Science. Rosenbaum’s research interests include
understanding tourism shopping, Asian tourism, older-aged leisure consumption, customer relationship
marketing, and service quality.
