Senior Sales Manager of Marriott International
Starting from first position Destinee Walker wanted nothing more but to chasse her way onto the stage as a graceful ballet performer. However, her dream became short-lived at the age of 14 when she began working as a restaurant hostess. She discovered that she liked to interact with people, find out what they needed, and figure out the best way she could help them. Little did she know, she was laying the foundation for her career in the hospitality industry.
After lots of hard work and earning her degree at the University of Texas in Austin, Destinee moved to Las Vegas. There she received an Executive Diploma from TISOH and eventually worked as the Director of Private Dining and Floor Manager at Koi Restaurant and Lounge. With her career in allegro Destinee has since relocated to Florida where she is currently enjoying her position as the Senior Sales Manager for Marriott International.
Admitting she still has a long way to go, she shared, “Persistence, continuing education, really networking and meeting people within the industry has contributed most to my success. I would say putting your best foot forward and always doing your best is key.” In the future, with her optimistic attitude, Destinee plans to continue to move en avant and become an executive as the Director or VP of Sales. |
